  • Bravo I love the performance! Wonderful agility and dynamics! If there are thousands of notes...who cares if there are a few slips. I have attended concerts of Itzak Perlman and believe me, he makes mistakes! Nonetheless, he fills concert halls. Thankfully most people focus on and appreciate the beauty of Bach's music interpreted by a real virtuoso. It is a wonderful and sensitive performance. Pianists aim for perfection but it is impossible to attain. GREAT performance! Thank you!

  • He did well.

We are all spoiled by recordings, thinking all performances should be flawless, when in reality live performances are not as great as pieces done in recording studios.

  • I like...Gould is my favorite..but I ignore the video and listen to the music alone, sans comments

  • I dont understand why this video got such a positive revieuws...

    it just wasn't good.

  • Well I have to agree with podx990. Hey plays well that´s true, but in my humble opinion he is far away from being good enough to actually sell his stuff. Really dudes I have played this concert myself and practiced it for some time and I know that it´s difficult and all, but if you give it a try, you will find many other recordings from better pianists. Pianists who are actually good enough to make a living out of playing this concert.

  • @crobc1 Oh, so you think in order to be able to distinguish a good performance from a bad one, you have to be able to play the piece in question well yourself? Anyone else buy that idea? lol nonsense. I don't place this piece at all, but if I did, I would not perform it publicly in this state. The performance is so poor, it sounds on the verge of just falling apart completely in many places (but I'd have to play the piece myself to know that, right?)

  • @podx990 We're all waiting, to listen to your superior performance, that is...

  • I don't normally complain about a struggling pianist's attempt at playing any piece, but this video got 4.5 stars, positive reviews, and Boise State has the nerve to try to actually sell this shit.

Something's wrong with this picture. The playing is crap, plain and simple. Anyone who says otherwise is either deaf or just lying. Unreal.

Now to see if my comment requires approval...

  • Congrats to this fine young pianist. Nice interpretation. Great job.

  • i take back what I said about composure... i'm impressed actually. you're both composed, and very comfortable. and great endurance!!!

  • ok, ok... if you don't know what I mean by 1-5. check out 7:13. sorry for being so hard on you swedchef... besides this, and your awkward use of petal in a pre-pedal piece... I think it's a great performance.

  • presto - needs composure. no petal! that and don't cheat... 1 to 5, not 5 to 5. anyone who has played this will know what i'm talking about.
