They didn't have any natural predators before people started bringing dogs and rats and stuff over. Kinda like the dodo. But they do camoflauge really well and are good climbers, and the parachute tactic they have of jumping with their wings outstretched is faster then climbing down.
Still, they aren't the sharpest tool in the box... they mate with anything, and are kinda klutzy and slow. I love 'em, though. Adorable little bastards.

@valw53 If you say the world can do without humans how come you haven't committed suicide you selfish murderous asshole these should be kept around but you shouldn't kill people. I bet Darwin would't even care if this bird died out considering how vulnerable it is to almost all predators.

@reymartbedonia If it were up to me I would save every species - the world can do without the humans, though!
Just so you know, the largest parrot is the hyacinth macaw, though I have to admit, I wouldn't like to be "shagged" by either, they are pretty massive!
