its a wonder why matsumuto isnt a top prospect. rumur has it he's gonna be a flyers scratch, but thats a rumur.

Don't diss....my gosh it's been so long, I forgot the Flyers played the 2008-2009 season......the Phantoms started what the Penguins...let me rephrase that...the Phantoms started what the "Stanley Cup Champion" Penguins finished.....
The Flyers started out pathetic against the Phantoms and finished Pathetic against the Penguins in the first? round?...

they played like that on purpose so none of their big name players got hurt for the regular season. so don't diss

yeah Simon Gagne, Danny Briere, Mike Richards, Martin Biron all played in this game...and I agree they played like they belonged in college & juniors...the Phantoms slapped them around and called them Susan.
And the Coyotes are an organization for the Flyers to model themselves after...an organization that dissed Winnipeg for Phoenix

Dude, this wasn't the actual Flyers. I was at this game. The top two lines and most of their D-men didn't dress for this game. It was a chance for the Flyers to see how their prospects and draft picks would do at this level of play. The AHL team was full of guys that had been playing together for a few years now and the NHL team (Flyers) were kids that would eventually go back to juniors and college. The Coyotes do this with their CHL affiliate.

The Flyers and Phantoms do this before the preseason. The Flyers play all their top prospects, rookies and upcoming talent against their AHL affiliate. If the Flyers played their top players they would kill the Phantoms.
