Austin Neely discusses his Atelier de Production et de Création brand raw selvage denim and the various washing techniques that can be employed. Austin wore his A.P.C. jeans for nine months before gently rinsing them in warm water and Woolite dark, revealing the custom fading, distressing and creasing due to repeated wear over time.

A.P.C. Jeans are available in two cuts in both black and blue at RSVP Gallery. See more here bit.ly/pFC8bd

  • this dude has a neck like a bull's lol

  • @JasperBroekhuis Size down 2 because the tag size does not reflect the actual waist size and you need to account for stretch. I wear a 31/32 in normal jeans and 29 in APC and 30 in Nudie jeans.

  • @B9rams0G New Cure = Skinny thighs, slight slight flare at leg. Petit Standard = Skinny calve to leg opening, new standard thighs. They're kind of opposites.

  • @B9rams0G New Cure is a skinny-straight, Petite Standard is slim tapered (pretty much a skinnier version of New Standard). Depends on the fit you're going for!

  • Actually selvedge is NOT an indicator of durability.

  • @mailtsauce

What's a skinnier fit - petit standard or new cure? I'm a waist 29 so I'll size down two.. I just want to know the skinner fit. I have nudie slim Jim's size 29/32 but I want a more skinnier fit. Thanks.

  • @JasperBroekhuis You commented on another video asking if they stretch or not. Simple answer: yes they do, how do you combat this? you size down to compensate (I sized down 2). I recommend trying on the jeans in store, you should not be able to button the top button at first and then it will stretch after a week (or less depending on how physical you get in them).

  • @JasperBroekhuis Yeah, I love my APC's. They're a regular blue indigo jeans that will fade, if you're cool with them fading then get it, otherwise just get normal non fading indigo jeans. They also come in 3-4 cuts; new cure, petit standard, new standard and hipster (I think discontinued). If you've never worn raw denim before, you may experience some discomfort for the first week or two because APC jeans are super starchy (stiff).

  • @mailtsauce So you would recommend to buy a APC jeans? I'm looking for a regular blue indigo jeans without a tag of brand on it and I think APC jeans are great, but I'm not sure about the fabric

  • They do stretch but it takes a lot of wear and tear. I've had one pair for almost two years and they have the perfect fit, I'm nervous to wash them. I also bought a black pair that is the same size but it was super tight and is just now giving me a little room.
