keep on rocking! sounds good.

@oli367 No doubt the SG is linked with Angus Young, but Angus himself says one of his biggest influences was Chuck Berry. You can definitely hear Chuck Berry licks in Angus' lead work.

@dubbly1 Both are great guitars. SG has a bit of crunchy tune, and Les Paul has bit smoother tune. Les Paul has a thicker neck and it's heavier. But, as MBString said, you should try both to know witch one you find better. (hope you decide for SG :) )

@PumpkinFan123 It can be done, but unless you have the skills you need a guitar tech do do it for you. I think they heat up the glue with steam. So you hase a Gibson neck lying around, or do you plan to buy one from say Warmoth? Anyway, it doesn´t sound like worth the the effort. Epi´s indonesian/industrial mahogany with a proper neck? you´ll just end up with a real SG anyway later on. Save the money and hunt for a nice gibson special faded that sounds really good and you connect with instead.
When I see gibson SG i think of Angus Young
