19 year old Terry Granger (Melissa Gilbert) becomes pregnant. Not ready to be a mother, she thinks about having an abortion without telling her boyfriend (Steven Flynn), but her 60-year-old father (George C. Scott) finds out and makes it clear he's strongly opposed to the idea. He's forced to rethink his beliefs, however, when his younger second wife (Jacqueline Bissett) becomes pregnant as well, despite the fact that he'd told her he didn't want more children.

  • Abortion clinics should have to perform an ultrasound of the uterus (with photos) before the "procedure." This way, the woman can actually visualize, see for herself, what's growing inside of her. I also think there should be a "wait rule" - one day, at least, after the ultrasound before a "final" decision is made. All of this, everything I just wrote, should be legally enforced, almost like buying a gun. Guns can't be legally purchased in one day and for good reason! ... Just an opinion ...

  • I actually think Terri is being quite mature, she's looking out for herself, very interesting film thnx for the upload

  • Abortion clinic do actually tell you about other options. And you don't just go in and get an abortion. You go in, talk to a counsellor about how things will work, what else you can do, how to tell your parents, and then they make one more consultation date and then it's finalized. So in reality, there is a "wait a day" to think about it.

  • @superrubbrduckiii Due, Planned Parenthood is a non profit organisation, not a business. Abortion accounts for less than 3% of their services, and less than 30% of revenues. They would lose their non profit status and their grant money if they made a profit. Their financial records are published online.

  • @Brooke684 According to the statistics kept by the anti abortion counselling clinics themselves, ultrasound makes a difference in only 11% of cases. An ultrasound does not show a clear picture of what's inside the stomach. It takes a trained radiologist to interpret the grey blobs. Cecil Jacobson used to convince his patients that the feces in an ultrasound was a fetus, to convince them they were pregnant when he ran his fake fertility clinic.

  • @superrubbrduckiii she is just scared she will get stuck babysitting

  • The dad's an opinionated prick. He's rather she commit herself to a guy who doesn't love her just so she doesn't do something he 's against. What will he do when they're miserable and end up in divorce court?

  • well helloooooo Scott is actually more mature than I thought "its a life you can't take a life"!

  • Dude abortion clinics are a business, no way they're gonna "make sure its right for you" or ask if you've considered adoption buh-buh-buh-BS

  • Wtf @ the stepmom, pushing an abortion ! pffft
