Before you blast out a link to your website or blog, consider using this simple tracking technique we use to track social media broadcasts in Google Analytics and Omniture (come on, is there really anything better? I think not).
Take a look at a typical spreadsheet you might use and a possible reporting template you can borrow to provide campaign reporting to your manager or client. The benefit of doing this is two fold: 1) Advanced reporting to show how much revenue you produced, and 2) Identify which types of content and which sources produced the best results, to help you produce better content and put more emphasis where you get the best results.
