Seattle Mariners infielders Adrian Beltre, Jose Lopez and outfielder Mike Morse take part in the team's mandatory 300-yard shuttle run on the first full-squad day of spring training. Players run the shuttle twice. Footage shot on Feb. 18, 2009 in Peoria, AZ.

  • just had to do 3 of these for conditioning today... when its 95 degrees outside but in the indoor facility it was 110

  • man we had to do 300 yd shuttle runs twice in football practice, cuz someone was walking, i was dying

  • not to mention its the first day of spring training so theyre probably not in mid season shape yet

  • 400 is a straight run, 300 shuttle is a lot of stopping and starting, its harder than running 400 straight

  • i have to do those for football, they suck

  • They're not track guys and besides, who knows what else they have done before this.

  • Jose Lopez is in terrible shape.

  • A shuttle run requires a change in direction so it would be expected to take longer than a 300 yard straight sprint.

  • MAN these guys are pros and their dead after 300 yards. I can do the 400 meter in track in under a minnute and they got 50 seconds at 300 yards ROTFL.
