Using a PSP, you can access your photos, music, videos, games and more from your PS3 system using a Wi-Fi connection.

Features shown in Video:

1: Photo (Olga Kurylenko)
2: Music (Daft Punk - Around The World)
3: Video (Hancock Trailer)
4: Video Chat (HDTV Playing ATB's "I Don't Wanna Stop") using the Playstation Eye. Yes, the camera is pointed at the HDTV =P
5: Friend's Listing

Features not shown:

1: Web Surfing - You can use the PS3's Web Browser instead of the PSP, This is good for youtube videos on the go.

2: Playstation Store - Download the latest videos, games and more.

3: PS1 Gameplay - Play your PS1 games remotely, from anywhere in the world. Expect there to be lag, though.

Notes: It's easier to connect to your PS3 Remotely if you leave the PS3 on "Remote Play" and then have the PSP connect. You can turn your HDTV off as well.

I've had very little success turning the PS3 "On" through Wi-Fi when the PS3 is turned "Off".

  • why is ps3 games unable to start when remote play is on?

  • @MecxyLuke Remote Play is meant to be used as a way to view your media. Not so much to play games.

  • how do you hook up your ps3 eye

  • The PS Eye was pointed at the TV screen. It's not connected to the PSP at all.

  • @raybladex what was the name of the first song you played on the psp in this video

  • @TheSydh2o Daft Punk - Around the World/Harder Better Faster Stronger Remix from their Alive 2007 album.

  • Hey.....when is connect my psp to the ps3 it says connecting..................and after some time it says, connection to the server was timed out. WTF....i did all the things right.....my psp is registered, auto remote play start is enabled, i set my ps3 on remote play mode......please help

  • @mickey20009 If you're at home, no problem. However, if you're planning to take your PSPGo with you, connect the PS3 to either the wireless router or an ethernet hub to the modem. Your PS3 has a built-in Wi-Fi and, yes, it is neccessary to use it for Remote Play.

  • @brokensoul619 You need to use Remote Start, plus hook it to your modem at home using an ethernet hub. Most modems have built-in hubs to connect.

  • @raybladex You can play PS1 game via Remote Play, but not PS3 games. You can use this trick to fool your friends thinking that you bought a PSP game. They'll think that you're playing a PSP game when in fact, you're play the PS1 game through the PS3.

  • can u play PS3 games using remote play? xD

  • @raybladex i figured...
