Ludington Michigan is packed with fun things to do in the summer months. You can climb up a sand dune and run down to Lake Michigan and jump in the clear blue water. Ludington is a harbor town located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Pere Marquette River. At the harbor, visitors can watch the S.S. Badger as it makes it's way accross Lake Michigan into Ludington from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The Harbor is right in downtown Ludington where there is dinning, shopping, parks, beaches and a marina. A few miles from town is Ludington State Park which has a great beach, sand dunes and camping. Also located here, is Hamlin Lake which is also a popular attraction with many fun activities to do. Ludington is also home to many great golf courses and nature areas. A popular activity in the summer months is blueberry and apple picking from many of the great orchards in the area. Featured in this video are a few clips of Historic White Pine Village and Amber Elk Ranch. This historic village of over twenty-five buildings and sites of history is dedicated to preserving and presenting Mason County's past. Amber Elk Ranch. Visitors can get a wagon ride accross 130 acres and see magnificent elk as they roam this area. There is also a petting zoo.
