@bigposercroise it doesnt matter about the arms... they are so exciting to watch. we arent trying to make clean girly dancers... we need NIJINSKYS AND NUREYEVS AND SOLOVIEVS AND BARYSHNIKOV and these dancers... cuban dancers dont have power they have macho-isms. They are good at tricks but there is no complete freedom and self expression it is all very macho. also my point wasnt to put another school down... YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT!! appreciate the differences of both schools.

@bolshoiboy8 Sure they are strong, but if you measure the height of Ilya's boys, it is as good, with much more style. Long limbs... sometimes these boys throw their arms out unconsciously. And they are not with the music. Dance is a musical art. The criticism that was once given to Western dancers was the lack of musicality and style. Coming from the West, I appreciate Russian dancers, when they use the style they learn in class. For power, the Cuban dancers are better than everybody.

@bigposercroise And these dancers have more power and energy in their jumping.

@bigposercroise You shouldn't say that. You should appreciate the differences. I like these dancers more than Ilya's dancers because they appear to be stronger and have extremely long lines, whereas his dancers are lanky. I LOVE Ilya's teaching because his dancers are extremely technically polished.
