Great video. You should have mentioned what to do with the little black disk that comes with it.

how long does it last? a whole year?

Milano,
It really depends on your humidification system and your climate. In Ohio, with a typical sponge type canister humidifier I would recharge it every year in late spring.

thank you

No problem. Just so we're on the same page, the humidifier will need to be refilled every few weeks but the humidor will be good for at least a year.

simply cigars website says "Do not wipe the interior or your humidor with Water. This will ruin the wood." they instead recomend to place a shot glass with distilled water and charge the humidifier. my humidor has a humidifier inside do you still recomend a wipe down with distilled water?

Absolutely. All humidors have some sort of humidifier in them. When you charge it, do as I did in the video with distilled water(DO NOT USE TAP WATER). Also, it is true you will damage the wood but will you will be fine as long as you don't soak it. Don't let the distilled water pool up.
