Science Fiction Theme Mashup

It dawned on me that in one way or another, various science fiction TV and movie themes are loosely based on "Telstar," an early 1960's hit by the Tornadoes. This includes the original Star Trek, the German version of the Captain Future theme from the 1980's animated series, and the 1967 film adaptation of "Mission: Stardust," which features German spaceman Perry Rhodan. The intro here is from the radio science fiction drama X Minus One from back in the 1950's. Almost all art is from old paperbacks and pulp magazines. The background video is from a NASA documentary on the Hubble.

Oh, just in case anyone wonders, no, that's not a sound clip from The Beatles' "A Day in the Life" there towards the beginning. It's actually from the old 1950's radio show, "X Minus One."

As far as I know, that was indeed a real, live human woman. Apparently, the word the chorus in the background is singing is "Seri," which is a Greek resort. I know, that has nothing to do with outer space. Go figure!
