Final Fantasy X - Monster Arena: Ironclad

I must confess, I didn't go blindy into this one this time. I DID originally, but it took 20 minutes to beat him, and I wasted about 20 Ethers trying to come up with a decent strategy. So instead I soft reset and looked it up. Auron's Bashining Blade Overdrive can Armor Break him 100% of the time. I happend to have Auron's Overdrive fully charged, so I started with Auron in the lineup. And Auron is still way underleveled, so he dropped dead by the counterattack easily. Fortunately it wasn't too hard to switch him out to start the real fight.

Now that his armor is broken, the fight is easier. Ironclad has 2 million HP, so that's why it took so long the first time, my attacks were barely doing 11000-20000, and the Overdrives did practically nothing. Not to mention Protect barely helped Wakka. So yea, this time it was much easier with his armor down. His annoying second attack saps everyones MP completely. So I used up a couple Ethers. This is the only fight so far that I've had to use an Ether on too. But it's fine, you can get Ethers easily by Bribing.

Well that's it for Species Creations. All that's left is the Original Creations. I also have to finish capturing in Sunken Cave, Mt. Gagazet, and Omega Dungeon (Stupid Varunas). But other than that, I'm probably going to start leveling up some more, getting completely around the Sphere Grid before I take on the Earth Eater, since that guy is will obliterate my characters with their current Defense stats. Worse comes to worse, I have to stat max Defense. Which will probably take an hour tops.

Note: Don't tell me how underleveld or overleved I am, or how I should have used Aeons, or other strategies. This wasn't a speed run fight, or wasn't a challenge fight.

Note2: Don't tell me I should have used a certain weapon or armor, I'm well aware of what would be best, I just am too lazy to do it at the moment.

Eh, from personal experience you won't need max defence for Earth Eater. He only has single-target attacks, so two people with Auto-Phoenix armour and 99 PD's will do.

You can also always Armour Break (except for total immunity) anything with a Frag Grenade, which is much faster than Banishing Blade.

I already have a video with beating EE. Turns out I didn't need a much bigger defense, but only one person had Auto Phoenix Armor, so it was kind of a risky fight.

There's an option in the Config menu to set cursor to memory. I forgot about it up until recently in those videos, someone reminded me.

lol why you use blitz ace instead of slice and dice? you would have dealt like 30 times more damage, not kidding. slice and dice takes full damage with every hit, blitz ace lowers attack damage by a ton.

1. you play in the league 2 lvl up.

2. u dont need to win 2 lvl up

first of all, do you need to play the league or an exhibition.

you play in the league, and its gonna be tough ur 1st few games. jus keep leveling up and learnig techs.

u get attack reels by winning a tournament in blitzball. if you've been neglecting to play blitzball, your firstfew matches are gonna be tough :D
