Singing through a contraction (in labor)

I had a home birth with a naturopathic doctor trained as a midwife assisting me. I would never go to the hospital unless it was absolutely necessary for our health.
The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing, no beeping sounds or strangers walking in and out of my room. I could get into a warm pool, eat food when I whenever I wanted, and even took a walk around outside with my fiancé about 3 hours before our little man arrived! It was a great environment to be born into.

@ForeverSunny3 Thanks! I'm grateful I was able to have the labor/birth experience I had always wanted.
It was the most difficult and amazing experience I've ever had. I wish the same for all laboring women, no matter where they give birth. <3

@chrisiiee69 Thank you!
Woman amazing....YOu just sing your labor pains away...Wouldnt it be nice if all women would just sing while having contractions and giving birth...Feeling good, singing and having a baby

@shybettigurl I was still feeling the pains, but instead of giving the pain my full attention I shifted focus to the words of the song. It made 100% difference.
As labor progressed, I began singing songs that were faster paced and eventually was in so much pain I couldn't properly focus on the lyrics so I began toning. Open relaxed jaw= open bottom parts= less pain and making it easier for your body to make progress with every contraction.
(and thank you!)

Awe I sing that song to my baby! I'm not sure if he (or she) can hear me yet but I do it anyways :P
Did you do a natural birth? I think I'm going to do an epidural.

@TheRaverPenguin I had a 100% natural birth at home. It was one of the best experiences of my life. (My baby's delivery video is also here on youtube- no vag shots. LOL!)
I'm personally glad I had my baby natural, but I can understand why some women choose to have the epidural. I have a high pain tolerance and while it was painful, it wasn't nearly as bad as the movies make it out to be.
And your baby should be able to hear you sing at 19 weeks!! You might even feel him/her dancing too!! ^_^
