Bats landing at their roost. Filmed at about 4am as they are returning in mid Argyll, Scotland.

Sorry for the poor quality, it was very dark and the tripod broke!

Well, I didn't actually see it... I heard it.

Bats have alot of myths going around about them. Most people don't even know that they see in B/W, or that there are only 3 species of Vampire Bats... out of around 1000 +- 500

  • @igotbored44 That must've been quite a sight. :P I wrote about bat blindness back when I was 12; I'm 17 now. And that person below is right, bats aren't really blind. But I told a girl last year about bats not being blind and she didn't believe me, so it's a very strong myth.

  • @WerewolfUlrich

Ive had a bird kill itself as a result of hitting my wall...

  • Have you ever had a bird in your house?

If you have you know it "kept crashing into walls and stuff"

Does that mean birds are blind? No

All these experiments show is that echolocation is more efficient that sight.

US airforce pilots have great vision. But they use radar when shooting because radar is better.

Get in contact with someone who works wtih bats.

  • Nice video! Do you know the species of these bats?
