2axis-squeezer.MOV

A proof of concept module that shows the ability of a mechanism to push-pull on two axes. Currently, only one axis is complete but it works. With better build quality it will easily fulfill the needs for a mechanism as discussed between Matthew Shlian and Ryan Buyssens. The mechanism will re-iterate Ryan's initial concept (see: http://www.youtube.com/user/magnifax?feature=mhum#p/a/u/1/X1j_qM8oayo ) to make a surface that reacts to people but instead of discreet panels that would move in or out, the surface would consist of Matthew's folded wizardry to undulate. Basically the early mechanism was turned on it's side and doubled to create a push-pull to accommodate Matthew's proposed panels via the binding post mounts (seen at the end of the video).
