  • Does anyone happen to know where this build went?

  • @jfkyz125 Geee, I don't know. Maybe it's because the Coyote 5.0 came out 13 years after the LS1. Man you're ignorant. I love the VH and the LS1. Fortunately I'm not so blinded by fanboyism that I can't have respect for a tested and proven piece of performance. Haters gonna just keep hatin.

  • Damn that is going to be a beast on the road

  • Hey mate what did you use to make the manifold from??

  • Nice sound!

  • @jfkyz125 i have thousands of hrs experience with the vh and ls series engines. heres the pros and cons ..vh45de , stout 6 bolt 32v alluminum , forged crank 6 bolt main. but.... minimal aftermarket support, so once its in , its pretty much in... and no one makes a metal headgasket ( well ferraday in the UK ).the LS is a phys smaller motor , though weighs the same. and youd never run out of goodies, why peopel push you in the direction .i own the first vh swapped car in the states, the 450sx

  • @jfkyz125 - the kid had a fiero and was asking what would be a cool swap for his car, a northstar drops right in to his chassis .. next , this is a vh45de video , so im not to concerned about GM motor comparisons, maybe so some research into the bh45de and youll see ith as a lot of potential. though theres minimal aftermarket support. a friend procharged his and make well over 550@ 8psi.

  • humm thinking of doin that on a datsun 280z. but prob everyone will be like wow turbo ls1 then ill get mad

  • Well, it's based on the vq, so I guess it has a little good..

  • Probably because it's the later model engine, and is therefore assumed to be better/an improvement in some way. Also, they're japanese, they use the latest version of anything available.

The VH has a more reinforced block, bigger meatier internals, and the heads are hard to improve upon. They are closely related to race motors. Early 90s gen Nissan equipment is renowned for being the toughest because it was designed and built before Nissan ran into major financial trouble and was bought out.
