Thumper (450 Bushmaster) Day One at the shooting range

These are the very first shots out of Thumper, my new Bushmaster rifle. It uses an AR-15 platform with an upper receiver, barrel, and chamber that fires the huge .450 Bushmaster rounds. They are said to be capable of taking down any North American game. I think these rounds would stop a car in its tracks! My poor shoulder! The rifle is considered a carbine and has a 16 inch barrel with picatinny rails on top for mounting a scope, and on the front for mounting a BUIS, bipod, or other items. By simply swapping out the upper receiver and barrel, the rifle can be converted to shoot 5.56mm, 6.8mm or other cartridges that are available on the AR-15 platform.
