How to fix a sad face iPod - Original (THIS REALLY WORKS)

I have looked all over and found a fix that really works, my 60gig iPod color was sitting in a draw for months and I got bored tonight and decided to fix it.... and it worked. This video will show you how..... Please remember that sometimes a sad face iPod CAN NOT be fixed but if it doesnt work this way your iPod has a hardware issue and is totaly knackered!!!

i can get it to disk mode but then my computer does not read it. this pisses me off! wha the fuck should i do

@Bridgesc3 it didn't work on mine aswell and I got frustraded but I read an article and what you do is place your ipod on something padded (facedown) such as carpet, and with a couple of rolled up magazines hit it on the back a couple of times (hard) and you should hear it make like a whirling noise and it should take you to the main menu. I know it sounds crazy but it actually works! Mine has been showing the sad ipod icon for about two years now and it works just fine now. Good luck :)

it's funny how every single video on youtube about fixing the sad face consists of someone who just fixed the problem and decided to make an instructional video-- but by this point, none of them actually have a sad face ipod to show the fix in action because they've already fixed it.
