Daved Kaplan's Barmitzvah

To celebrate my son Daved's 13th birthday, I imagined a 'rite of passage' process that began in October, 2008. I shared much about the Jewish traditions and he learned some of the Sabbath blessings. His Aunt Diane, a singer and performer, guided him to sing a special piece, while Daved practised the guitar part. I then took him to Israel to celebrate and thanks to Diane and my brother, Desmond, Daved actually had the traditional, and more, Bartmitzvah celebration at Yodfat on October 30th, 2009. This video is a short piece capturing the spirit of these moments.
