This was by far the best episode of the seires. Anthony Delongis was superb along with Adrian. I love how they make the connection between martiala rts and Dancing.
@HothHan It was pretty epic. It's nice when Mac fights someone you know is not only his equal but in some ways his superior. I have to disagree about the Quickening, though. Flawless except for that ring of fire - or rectangle of fire. That seemed a bit unlikely. Otherwise, great.
@MobyLick Anthony Delongis is legendary as a fight choreographer in Hollywood. Him and Adrian Paul got along great. Adrian Paul told the producers to bring him back for this episode.
Awesome fight. Thanks to Anthony DeLongis's expertise with the blade and Duncan's dance ability! The night to day was used to coincide with the comments about flamenco, how you cross the threshold of exhaustion and you just become part of the dance, not thinking about each move and step. Duncan was able to make that connection, something Consone wasn't.
This always struck me as one of Mac's more epic duels. When the footage begins to overlap, and it gets dark outside then begins to rain, it makes me wonder just how long the Duende really went on for. The Quickening was pretty cool too, no over-the-top houses lifting from the ground or tie-dye psychedelics... it was just right!

they should of reshot this scene the next day, but they had like crap budget.
The rain did add a nice touch though.

You can ask the fight-choreographer, the legendary F. Braun McAsh, if you like. Contact him through The Ring of Steel, and via his MySpace page.
He's an authority on Western (ie; European) martial arts, and a Destreza master.
You can even take classes with him, but I'll let Braun tell you about that himself. :0)

I always wondered how long those daggers were and if they could actually take someone's head like that.
