Aww thank you so much! I would LOVE to be your neighbor! I am much happier on a day to day basis but every so often it sneaks up on me and I have a good cry. I think it is cleansing :)

Wow I have the same type of family & it hurts. When my husband & I moved out of state my parents/family had a fit. They told me that I would move back within 1 year & I've been living in Idaho for almost 18 years. I'm very independent & my family hates that about me. You hang in there...you're a sweetheart & I wish I could give you a hug!!!

It is so good to meet someone else who has the same frustration. It is such a shame that our familys are missing out on our lives. Hopefully one day they will remove their heads from their bottoms. If not, I like the option of chosen family; the friends who bring us the joy and happiness that we are missing :)

Thank you for sharing that book. I've been dealing with some emotional eating lately and it's been so hard to get a handle on and it takes me forever to figure out why I'm really eating. I too am filling an emotional void and while I like to deny it, all signs point to one family member.I'm sorry you're feeling this way and feeling alone.I wish there was something I could do or say to make it all better.You're deserving of every happiness and love and I'm glad you know that. donna i had bypass but i still crave food im 11 weeks post op and i am so sick of feeling hungry when i do eat i cannot eat much but that doesnt stop the craving it and im so worried i will put weight on im so scared your great dee uk x

Wow. Your family sounds deep. Have you seen a movie called "Stewart Saves His Family?" They sound a lot like the family in that movie. We can all identify with that on some level. Thanks for sharing with us.
