Man, next to the Star Wars theme, this is the best Sci-Fi theme ever written....It matches the premise of the show PERFECTLY!!!!

I would take a bullet for Lorne Greene, He as Adama and Lloyd Bridges as Commander Cain was Awesome ! Always felt Kirk Douglas would have been a fantastic Starship Commander too !
