Sparrowhawk's true name isn't Sparrowhawk. Ogion gave him his true name of Ged. Stupid movie is stupid!

@LucentDarkness True, the books are short, but you know what? If someone had tried to make a movie version that really fleshed out what was important to the story, it would have been difficult for the result to NOT be an epic, emotional film. Wizard of Earthsea especially has soooo much going on that isn't strictly speaking part of the plot (Sparrowhawk goes here, does this, goes somewhere else, does something stupid, etc) that, if done right, could be told brilliantly in the visual medium.
