Super-tuned ShredderII taking down and working up some mature oaks suffering oak wilt. Proper tuning is critical to your saws longevity. It'll run much cooler, cut way faster and have more torque, horsepower, chain speed as well as requiring less maintenance. Slightly harder than tensioning a chain or cleaning an air filter. Also helps to be able to hand file chisel bit chains.

  • Your bar is upside down!

  • @killerstone5 - Only half the time, unless I'm standing on my head.

  • i love that saw!!, i have a ms 391 and compared to my old 056 super...its like wow...the old one does have more snort down low..but its heavy as hell...you know, my 391 is the smoothest cutting and easy to handle saw ive ever owned...very little vibration! nice vid bro!

  • @lluwd - Good comment... 'preciate cha. I own a 361 as well but usually choose my 039 for felling the big ones. Cause it's got snort (longer stroke) and rpm, where as the 361 can get bound up if it loses it high rev's and leave you in a pinch.

  • Seems ok to me. Loose chain could be deadly. I have on only once worked with loose chain and accident happened right away.

  • @mait2733 - Exactly! The chain on any bar should be tensioned so that when you pull up on the cutter in the center of the bar the driver should just barely clear the guide rail. Then tune your saw for it. Anything less will lead to throwing a chain at the least and filing bent drivers or an ugly trip to the E.R.

  • You have that thing tuned like a Swiss watch it cuts very well. I have an MS-390 and it is a great firewood saw for 10-12 cords a year.

  • големи аматьоре са .... много не късат ....

  • @a2dds l got a MS260 from 03, so not about 10 years:)

  • looks like you chain might be to tight. I would loosing that up a bit. It cuts down on your power if it is to tight. just saying....
