This is a very large tent that I've decided to purchase in advance of some upcoming camping trips. I haven't found any reviews of this size tent, so I decided to make my own. Hope this helps anyone considering purchasing one.

  • Cool Video man, Thanks for the tour.

  • @909beats My pleasure.

  • i just purchased a 12x20, & set it up for the 1st time. could you tell me more about the stove please. i thought the tent fabric would be thicker, im worried it will not hold heat well. im taking it to colorado and do not want to freeze, a friend told me to put insulating board around the inside to hold heat in. what do you think? great video by the way!

  • @clinchmtoutfitter Not too much to worry about as far as holding heat. It would work better with some foam board insulation though. That's a great idea but might be hard to manage. The 4dog tent stove I use is awesome. It gets pretty warm in the tent I would recommend loading the stove with a hard wood for overnight, and even then you'll probably have to get up once or twice to put on more wood. You can use the top surface for pots and pans to cook with.

  • The stove gets pretty hot, I recommend the optional damper to control the burn, especially overnight. Not sure how it will handle in Colorado during winter. It's get's much colder there. I'm hoping to try it in Nebraska for a pheasant hunting trip. That will be a good test. Well, good luck with your new tent and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

  • is this 12x20 tent assembled in sections? can it be reduced into a 12x12 or do these just come in specific sizes? Also at night time, if you have lanterns lit inside the tent (or any light source lit) can you see the silhouettes of the people moving inside the tent? looks like a great tent..

  • @b4dan92 It is an AWESOME tent! There are no sections. It is a one piece tent so you buy the size you need. The material is rip stop nylon and it's pretty thin so yes, if you have a light inside you'll see the silhouettes from outside. great questions.

  • @tflorestx i live in nebraska dont recomend phesant hunting here at least around the sherman county area because we dont have many phesants at all i recomend south dakota or iowa i beleive they have more unless your going for farm raised phesants

  • Could you please explain how you made your own stove pipe? or upload a video. Thanks

  • @yesiamanalien I have used it quite a bit in some harsh environments. I can tell you that it holds up to the constant 15-20 mph winds and the rain on north padre island in the gulf of mexico. It's easy to put up and it's very comfortable. Especially with the vestibule. I have slept 6 adults quite comfortably in it. hope that helps.
