Obama has tried his best on 'bi-partisanship'

Bi-partisanship is absolutely, inequivocally impossible if the other party won't compromise on anything with you, which the republicans won't.

Obama needs to give up on the republicans completely, throw them under the bus, away with them. Focus a crapppppp load of pressure on the blue dogs and conservative democrats.

Only problem is, a co-op does NOTHING for the 50 million+ uninsured, nor does it put an end to the price gouging and care rationing that the insurance companies are currently imposing. Basically if a bill passes, nothing actually changes.

They don't like the CURRENT bill in the Senate, which does not include a public option. But most people want a public option, and it's a big reason why Obama was elected in the first place. The reason why public health insurance hasn't happened is because the health insurance industry has bought off Congress, and many Republicans don't even want reform.

CNN shows an overwhelming majority of Americans, 61 percent, oppose the current reform bill, with barely 36 percent supporting it. Rasmussen shows a majority against it, 51-38 (and 40 percent strongly oppose the plan, while just 23 percent are strongly in favor).

Gallup shows 49 percent against, 44 percent for; Ipsos/McClatchey has voters opposed by 46-34. CBS news has it closer -- but with voters still opposed by 45-40.

And Medicare folks paying excessive? Again ... are u kidding? Medicare is highly subsidized and still it is BROKE!

The best options:

1) Allow ppl buy insurance across state lines

2) Tax benefits for doctors serving the needy

3) Stop insurance comps to lobby Congress

4) Reduce war spending and use the money here on HC
