My mother passed away on March 24. It lasted 5 weeks from her diagnosis to her passing away. She neither smoked nor drank. We were all shocked, angry and surprised beyond belief and couldn't take it. We were saddened by the loss of someone so close in our lives. We need to have all the resources available to make people aware of this type of illness.

Thank you for posting this. My dad died of pancreatic cancer on Nov.7/05, only a brief 10 weeks after he was diagnosed. His dianosis of cancer caught us all by surprise but what surprised us most is that they offered no treatment what so ever. His cancer was so far spread that all they could do was provide caring and comfort until his last days. So thank you for posting this and helping to spread the word about this terrible disease.
