The BaMada dance was developed at Zack's Dance Loft. It started out of necessity when Zack could not find a traditional dance for his student's nontraditional first wedding song. Soon after Zack came up with the first full-fledged dance. In general the Bamada is danced within two measures or 8 beats.1,2,3,&,4 - 5,6,7,&,8. or Slow, Slow, Slow, Quick-Quick Slow, Slow, Slow, Quick-Quick. Leader's steps sequence is Left, Right, Left, Right-Left : Right, Left, Right, Left-Right Follower's steps sequence is Right, Left, Right, Left-Right : Left, Right, Left, Right-Left. At this specific song the BaMada can be also danced to the instrument that sound like a clave. In this case the count will be 1, 2, 2 1/2 , 3 1/2, 4 : 5, 6, 6 1/2, 7 1/2, 8. Or 1, 2, and, and, 4 : 5, 6, and, and, 8. Inevitably the dance will have a different feeling if it is danced to this count, and may also have a slightly different look. The BaMada dance will make its first International debut as part of 2010 Boracay Salsa Tour workshops. Boracay Salsa Tour 2010 is part of the Salsa Sanadora project of Ares Research Consultancy Services. These demo videos cover the basic and few beginner moves.
