It's not that strange that there would be extraterrestrial civilizations, the universe is huge and there could be civilizations that are millions even billion years ahead of us.

just imagine what kind of technology they would have and how peacefull they would be.

Once I read your comment before i even started watching it, went to wikopedia - there is nothing about him dieing. My roommate just told me that he heard not long ago that he died. So confused

there is no real evidence that the ET's are hostile.

because like you say we don't have anything to offer them, they DONT need anything from us the way we understand it. They don't need our food, trees or money or water. so its silly to automatically assume that their going to act like humans and fight eachother for 10,000 years to then actually learn space travel to only continue fighting for resources or pride or w/e.
