@Th3King86 - having two OS's operating at the same time makes the computer slower, but you only do that in certain cases. If I have a Windows only game, or some windows software that requires a fast comptuer, I just boot to Windows. But if I need to run Microsoft Publisher, I'll use Parallels to boot up Windows at the same time. It just depends on what program you are going to need.

@mbraase So what happenes to all your ream while you have two operating systems running at the same time?

@211samsung112 They are charging money for something that the "open source" community gives away for free. I run Windows in VirtualBox that is Free on my Linux distribution OS that is also free.

I'm stuck. I have windows xp parallel, but I don't know how to switch back to snow leopard. How do you do it?

Does any one now if you can stop the windows apps appearing in the mac dock?
Because there are a lot of people who like having the ease of use of a mac and a lot of people prefer having a mac to a PC. But many of those people, including myself, also have Windows-only programs that won't run on Mac OS X. So we can install windows to run those programs. While we don't need Parallels to run windows, Parallels lets us run both Windows and Mac OS X at the same time without rebooting everytime we want to switch. Parallels just makes it easier to use windows on our macs.
