Fischerspooner is an art pop performance project created and helmed by Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner blending music, dance, fashion, film and photography.
Their work fuses fine art and pop culture, as in their renowned outsider shows bursting with stage effects presented in both art galleries and traditional concert halls.
"Entertainment" is their third full length album, showing a sophisticated electronic vision bubbling with pop epic hooks beyond the footsteps of "1"(2001) and "Odyssey"(2005).
Written over a two-year period with producer Jeff Saltzman (The Killers, The Sounds), it was recorded independently in a carriage house in Brooklyn, NYC.
Album collaborators include an intimate circle of artists working on the duo's live show as Ian Pai (musical director, drums), Ben Bromley (bass) and Sam Kearney (guitar).
Other special guests feature actress/performance artist Ann Magnuson, UK musician Gabriel Olegavich and electronic collagist Steven Stein.
The first single, "Supply & Demand", is available as a free mp3 download from the band's website, along with a D.I.M. remix of the same.
The album's bonus track, "Fascinating" is a cover of an obscure and unreleased song, originally composed by R.E.M.
Fischerspooner will perform "Entertainment" in their forthcoming show, Between Worlds, to be debuted in USA. First 500 copies of the album will have an autographed CD booklet.
