It's not "Hi, moshi moshi."
It's "Hai, moshi moshi."
He's saying, "Yes, hello."
Not, "Hi, hello."
Because "Hai" means "Yes" in Japanese.
If he were saying, "Hi, hello," that's just two greetings one after another.
And wouldn't make sense, now would it? ;D
