This is video taken at the state capitol in Frankfort. A group of concerned citizens wanted to deliver a petition to Rep. Darryl Owens, the committee chair that's been blocking important bills from going forward. Bills like HCR 10, HCR 11, HB 380 (10th Amendment Resolutions and Bills), HB 87 (The Kentucky Firearms Freedom Act), and HCR 13 (Second Amendment Resolution). Passing these bills is vitally important if we are to preserve the rights and liberties of all Kentuckians. Why would Rep. Owens fight against rights and liberty?
So this is why it failed! Have we gotten rid of this joker?

This is disgusting. This is what is wrong with our present "representative" government. They don't believe anymore that they need to answer to the people. They just answer to the "party". Darryl Owens is a poor excuse for a "representative". In a former time, he would have been flogged in the public square and removed from office. Time for some flogging! What a COWARD!!!!!!!!!!

@nevsky5 Why would a legislator want to hear what his constituents wanted? Why would a representative want to represent the people he was elected to represent?
We tried for the entire legislative session to have a civil discussion, but Owens wouldn't answer numerous phone calls or emails, refused to meet with constituents, and went out of his way to thwart the will of the people. He ENJOYED denying the vast majority by flaunting his will. Owens is a pompous ass & bitter partisan hack.

@nevsky5 um... this was toward the end of a legislative session in which we tried phone calls, written letters, e-mails, petitions, meetings, attempted testimony in committee in which he canceled like 4 times. He backed out on his word to allow these issues to at least be heard in committee. The attempt for this day was to educate the legislators. We had also hoped to talk to him one more time; however, he purposefully hide from us. This is the culmination of a lot of frustration.

"Sovereignty Stampede?" And y'all wonder why he didn't want to talk to you? All that's missing is the banjo music. Gee, why would a black man in Kentucky want to avoid a "Sovereignty Stampede?" Hmmmm.

very sad how our representatives won't even face those whom elected him.
the photographer said it right, when the govt' fears the people, then you have liberty. if they don't fear now, coming real soon, they'll learn their fear. vote AMERICAN

Mr. Owens is a pawn for the bureaucrats in Frankfort. We need to vote them all out.

I cannot believe the state representative actually ran away and did not try to address the crowd.
