Another video from The Jim Carroll Band. This version of the band had Lenny Kaye & Paul Sanchez on guitars.
From the 9:30 Club, so Lenny tells me.

  • Always has been one of my tops...Miss hearing him live. Bummer.

  • Excellent

  • I meant NO 'disrespect' by my prev. POST man..Its just kinda 'frustrating' when YOU ( I ) think Of these composer/songwriters that perps fawn-over.. most Of these fools say they can: "recognize a 'creative spark' " ~ while there's a creative BLOWTORCH like Jim standing right next to them!! W.T.F.!!!

I 'firmly' BELIEVE.. WITHOUT A DOUBT..that Jim, given PROPS & circumstances, could have given OLD LOU REED a 'RUN for his f@$kin MONEY'!! .. I know where my sensibilities ..&.. loyalties are!!

  • Ive always been kinda disappointed YOUS GUYS didnt cut more records..

I MEAN The J.C.Band was most definitely ONE Of The 'BEST' that The 80's had to offer - and certainly, in my opinion,THE MOST UNIQUE!!..Shit! Id read that music to Jim was always a sideline to his writing.. which i think was (kind-of) 'too Bad'.. He was SUCH A TOTAL frontman! HE 'HAD IT'!

    What a RARE talent!

  • @pusster1

Can you give me a link to your Brothers bio or any guitar / NY magazine articles on Paul ? Other ppl have Jimmy Page and Eddy VanHalen and other super cool guitar superheros as influences but its Pauls licks that got me thru the 80's, really.....

    Peace.

  • I hadn't seen this video, and I've looked with continuing interest. My brother is playing lead guitar on this piece.
