The date was April 18, 1981. I liked this match due to the contrasting styles between Tommy Hudson and Bob Handley. 1981 was Handley's coming out year...he won earlier in the year. Ranks up there with Mark Roth and Marshall Holman as throwing the most powerful ball on tour during that time. Hudson had success in the late 70s, winning 4 titles in 1978, and was elected to the hall of fame in 1989. For more bowling videos, go to my website at http://www.mrbowling300.com

  • I called Tommy on Monday....got his answering machine to tell him that I mailed the '81 Hartford Open to him. I also made another contact who has the 1979 Dutch Masters Open that Tommy won....I promised that I would send that down to him as well! Glad to have helped out. Keith

  • I just talked to Tommy Hudson ...he will be looking this up on YOUTUBE,,,, if you have the Steve Martin match he would appreciate that,,,,he said his tapes of his shows were ruined by heat

  • I do have the Steve Martin match, as I mentioned, I'd be more than happy to make Tommy a copy of the tournament...just email me with the info.
