Congressman Campbell introduces a 'Motion to Recommit' in the House of Representatives which would effectively prohibit taxpayer funds from the John Murtha Johnston-Cambria County Airport in Johnstown, PA. It subsequently was voted down.

Perhaps Johnnie Murtha and Jimmy Oberstar should join Duke Cunningham and Bernie Madoff in the federal slammer. All are guilty of theft -- some of private money and some of public. But theft.  Congressman Campbell is gracious in calling this a boondoggle. It's theft, pure and simple.

How about you build your own damn airport. Use your own damn money and invest it in your own damn business/locality. Stop making the rest of America pay for your town just because you can't. Don't like it? MOVE, or better yet get a good job to pay for it, maybe they might name the airport after you. Maybe your town should produce something instead of mooching off taxpayer money, and maybe then people will come looking for jobs.

who can forget Murtha, the fat congressman who said the marines killed innocent civilians in Haditha Iraq. No Marines have been charged and Murtha has never apologized to the Marines for his remarks

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME. I am a taxpayer. I SUPPORT FEDERAL FUNDING FOR THE AIRPORT. Mr. Campbell's district has LAX & LA's thriving economy. Hes clueless about small town America calling this an "an airport for no one". How can the economy of Western PA improve without providing access to this area?

Who bailed out the steel workers in Western PA when we started importing steel? Better than giving billions to the banking industry for their million dollar bonuses.

He is exactly correct. I know what I am talking about. Mr. Murtha for years is the most crooked Congressman. No one can stop him so he thinks. I could understand that Johnstown was busy but it is deadsville. Wasteful and certainly taxpayer theft.
