@sherwoode7 I agree with you. I don't do AA anymore, and haven't had a sponsor since my first one (male) came on to me (male) sexually. Creepy. I have 2.5 years sober so far.

AA groups and sponsors are made up of people. And since people vary, some AA groups are great, some aren't.

You are only one out of millions of alcoholics. Just because something worked for you doesn't mean you can set the standard for the other million. AA has work for thousands of people, and those results are better than your 1 result. I'm not bashing you success, congrats on remaining sober for 30 yrs. But if that worked for most people, AA wouldn't exist.

Don't turn your life over to AA or to a sponsor,follow your own inner guidance and trust yourself.I"m sober over 30 years and do not attend the cultish AA meetings.
