Interesting, I'm a bible reader but I don't agree with Jesus being the almighty god. I mean it's clear that god used him to create all things as "the master worker". So other would be other than himself because he was the firstborn. Plus the prophecy in Genesis about the "seed" which would denote a son and separateness. Also when Jesus prayed to his father before his death. But arguing about religion is pointless and not really beneficial. Just have to try our best to be good people.

Please add a snapshot of the quotes your are reading, plus the reference dates/numbers, etc. This is good stuff. Thank you for thinking!

This religion clearly screws with people because those that leave take so long to reconcile things in their own minds...hence the thousands of exjw posts on youtube! I htink this organisation is destructive and I am drifting away. I read Crisis of Conscience and Captives of a Concept. Tried to discuss with some JW and they can't see the problems in this religion. I also wonder about God..why does he make himself so hard to find? He wants exclusive devotion, yeah?
Good to see you grown your hair I assume your hair was not allowed to be that long when u were one???

@essy111 haha yep, that's actually one of the things that just made me say 'screw this religion'. I actually got 'counseled' and had all my privlages taken away because my hair was too long. Putting in 2 hours of field service every weekend, sometimes 4, going to meetings twice a week, 2 hours each, and studying basically every night, all this I was doing for 'god' (a.k.a. the watchtower) yet I can't be a true 'brother' anymore cuz of my hair length?? BULL SHIT.

Nicely done actually. They came to my door and asked me if I was still having problems with Adam's sin after reading some watchtower stuff they left me. I said yes, my problem was that God did not give Adam a chance to repent, he was immediately and forever condemned. They said how do you know he didn't get a chance to repent? I said, because the Bible clearly says he didn't. They said, sometime you need to fill in things. I said that's a no no, they have never come back.

@traycox01 wow, that's pretty awesome :) ya know what I've been noticing lately? the witnesses are starting to blatantly say things contradictory to the bible, and not even realize it. Like, 'sometimes you need to fill in things'? really... and then, this guy just said 'jehovah will allow his subjects to think what they like and print what they like, but this does not make them false... in his due time he will make it known." holy hell. ya see the twisted thinking?

I highly recommend reading the book Captives of A Concept. It takes alot to do what you are about to do....disassociating yourself. Personally myself, I just decided to drift away and not go anymore. I see no need to disassociate myself. I just decided for MYSELF not to be a JW anymore. I see no need to write a letter or anything. Screw the Kingdom Hall, Screw The Elders, Screw The Governing Body. The whole organization is a sham. If only other witnesses could see it. They are so blind & afraid.

@WakeUpWitness I'll take a look at that book... and yup. Screw the whole organization. Witnesses just can't see it cuz they've been so brainwashed, that even when they see the truth, they just can't mentally accept it. Too bad
