In 1988 50% of the older ice remaining is more than 5 years old the other 50% melts and refreezes. 2008 and 2007 30% of the ice remaining is over 5 years old the other 70% melts and refreezes. Wow, that catastrophic (NOT) a whopping 20% of ice 5 years old melted and replaced with 2 year old ice. This is a translation of what the reported fact said on this video. It amazes me how words can be twisted to scare the shit of people that can't seem to reason.
