It is extremely difficult to find out any information concerning the obscure soul-singer Ella Washington. What little is known is that she was born in Miami, Florida. She seemingly started recording 45-RPMs in 1966 and stopped by 1971 or 1972 (seemingly never to record a full-length LP of her own). She did have an R&B top 40 hit in early 1969 with, "He Called Me Baby", her only chart appearance.
