man this is a big topic in all FFXI forums out there. You are aware that SE reads the primier pages forums frequently, yes? Don't bitch off the guy who makes a video about it. Its just fun to watch. Besides that if you think of the zones its usualy done @ i isnt such a big thread. + you could do it max twice in a row per hour if you have a group of six and slitt up in 2x3

No they aren't gimping it, because Square Enix has commented that they know that people use smn burns like this and that they consider it an acceptable use of the level sync system.

@ElensarFFXI They aren't going to be patching it. They've went on record saying that this is a legitimate and acceptable use of the level sync system, and since it's been going on for a long time now, they aren't going to be adjusting it anytime soon.

@xPersona4 I wasn't saying anything against Astral Burning. I was replying to EvilScotsmanWild who was acting like Square Enix would nerf Astral Burns because of videos like this "letting it out in the open". I was responding to him by saying that they already knew about Astral Burns and considered it an acceptable use of the system, so they wouldn't be nerfing it or anything.

@Vlorsutes Why wouldn't it be acceptable? Sync IS there for a reason, easier exp, if they don't like it, they can take the Sync out.

I would do this on my SMN any time, anywhere. I don't think it's cheating, at all. This is a good way to level a job, especially if you don't have a lot of time grinding. I'd rather skill up to catch up, than to sit around and wait for a pt.

Sooner SE patches this crap the better, fuck sake people actually charge people 500k per run on my server for this. God knows who would pay that but yeah.... stupid.

i got invited to a summon burn earlier and had to turn it down x.x (to be the sync) cause i didnt wanna be a gimped pld...but omg it hurt turning down 60k exp

god i want to play ffxi again so bad, i love summoners, i don't have enough time to put into the lvling though, one way or another ill find a way to have a summoner again haha <3 this game

I feel like I'm cheating too but I have played for 7 years now and don't really have much time to level anymore. It is pretty amazing still. Did my first one last night and I didn't even know what was going on when I joined it. XD I just happened to be the level sync that stood there and got level 13-23 in a few minutes. Time to go do skillups now. >.>
