  • You need a scanner that picks up the 159.000 to 162.000 band. Search google for "AAR radio frequencies"

  • What channel do you use on those radios? Would it work with a 40 channel CB? Walkie-talkie?

  • The repeated pounding of the railhead by the wheels of the trains, especially heavy freight trains, causes the inside top of the rail to deform in the shape of a mushroom. The railgrinder is equipped with grinding wheels that cut off this portion, basically truing up the railhead. Eventually the railhead will wear down to the point it will have to be replaced.

  • What type of train is that?
