The Rangers prospect Alexei Cherepanov had died at the age of 19 during a game in Russia.He had a heart attack and died on the bench.May his memory live on forever.
The Rangers picture of them on the bench was Brandon Dubinsky on the bench with Nikolai Zherdev before the moment of silence for Alexei Cherepanov.
"The lure of stardom and success in athletic competition is undeniable; but it shouldn't be a decision between life and death. We lost a bright young star in Alexei Cherepanov; hopefully, through his tragic loss, others will be saved."

His dream always was to play along side his idle, Jagr. I'm glad he at least got to live his dream.

it was't drugs. everyone who knew him can tell you that. Please stop talking rumors, respect his memory! they gave him cough medicine not knowing the seriousness of situation, that's all that investigators have found in his blood. That medicine wasn't the cause for his death!
