Dang Thai Son (Vietnamese: Đặng Thái Sơn) (born 1958, Hanoi, Vietnam) is a Vietnamese-Canadian classical pianist. He is known for being the first Asian pianist to win the prestigious International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in 1980. Dang Thai Son's glory, however, was marred by the controversial elimination of Ivo Pogorelić in the third round, which caused the Argentine pianist Martha Argerich to quit the jury in protest.

The controversy did not deter Dang Thai Son, however, and he went on to a distinguished career as a concert pianist. He remains one of the world's foremost Chopin interpreters, and now resides in Montreal, Canada.

  • His play is very very similar to Yundi Li's. Both are great.

  • 一個音樂天才也要經過苦練才能把他的才華展現出來!

  • 好奇妙的氣勢!

    彷彿有交響樂團伴奏一般!

    靈活的手指

    敏銳的觸鍵

    彌補了技巧的實力的不足!
