  • @JalmeidaH have you heard about the petol rig wrench? some riggers up on i think the service rigs aren't happy with it because it has too low a range for pipe sizes so they end up welding a larger wrench on .. which is really unsafe haha

  • you guys ever use manual wrenches? or just hydraulic?

  • Good work men

  • Jesus, you guys make it look so easy.... stay safe!

  • @jaahut Working concrete is easy shit Buddy, you obviously never worked the riggs.

  • @pantsarehard the chain is a "old" fast and efficient way to spin that pipe together and use the tongs to tighten it up to specs. The newer rigs may use a set of hydraulic tongs that spin the pipe and tighten with a pull of a lever.

  • This job is not for dumbasses

  • @pantsarehard, the tongs for gripping and tightening that you say doesn't spin all the way around, just a fraction. So you need to spin the drill pipes first, imagine tightening a bolt by hand first and then using a wrench. English is my second lenguage but I hope you understand. Cheers.
