An experiential event created by ad agency MacLaren McCann Vancouver.
Millionaire Life is a lottery whose grand prize is $1 million per year for 25 years. BCLC wanted to do something that would create public interest, garner media attention and increase sales.
The Wall of Cheques
• Affixed several hundred cheques to a wall at a downtown square
• People who purchased a Millionaire Life ticket were eligible to pull a cheque off the wall
• Most cheques were fake; some concealed small cash prizes and four were for $1,000 each
• Over 200 people participated within a 90-minute period and the event received local TV news coverage
