The Griffin Tuneflex (<- the holder) is hided completely inside the dashboard and fixed with one wire strip. This is possible at my volvo s40, because i have no factory-installed navigation system, so there is a lot of free space inside the dashboard where normally the navigation system is positioned.

I bought FM transmitter and it really sucks cuz all frequencies are already taken....wtf...
I really love my S40 2004 but I travel and I need to get my ipod with good quality there, any ideas?

@JanBirsa
This solution works for the S40II / V50 MY2004, too. This is the cheapest way to realize a crystal clear sound from ipod in the S40 / V50.
The expensive but probably easier(?) way is to buy a "dension gateway" for 400 bucks, for which you must have the original volvo cd changer installed, when you haven´t one yet.

@4eversr all FM frequencies are taken up so it doesnt work at all :S

@JanBirsa This / my solution does not use any fm frequencies. I soldered a real AUX input to the Volvo amp in the trunk. (All "fm transmitter"-solutions don´t work stable, because all frequencies are taken, like you said already.)

how did you secure it so it doesnt wobble around and is just held by the one wire:?

To make this clear: Did you understand that this whole holder construction is the "Griffin Tuneflex Aux Smartclick" itself ?
I just mount it with a "cable tie" inside the dashboard, so that only the flexible neck of the holder is visible outside - To power the Griffin with current i installed a second "cigarette lighter receptacle" in the dashboard where the Griffin is plugged in. This construction gets its power from beneath the main "cigarette lighter".
