For The Beauty Of The Earth - Hymn Tune - DIX. Also, ' As With Gladness Men of Old '. This beautiful Hymn is often sung on THANKSGIVING DAY in many Churches.

I have around 1,000 favorite Hymns I like to play, this is in my top 10, a great Hymn Tune and when performed on a nice large Pipe Organ - WOW !

THANK YOU for visiting my video's and for Subscribing - more to come soon.

  • do you have a copy you could send me to my email

  • I am sorry I do not do that - this Hymn tune ( Dix ) is in every Hymn book, all denominations. Go to your local Church and they will be glad to give it to you. Have a Blessed day.

  • That Organ must be beautiful in the Bascilica that you play, I am honored you visited. Thank you †

  • Wow. That is great. I hope to walk down the aisle to this song on my wedding day which happens to be exactly 493 days from today...not that I am counting :)

  • Congratulations !

  • During the season of Epiphany, I enjoy contemplating this tune to "As With Gladness Men Of Old"

  • outstanding brother keep up the excellency

  • @UpWithAmerica agreed. i spent alot of time looking for the good, old, quality original.

  • @mcgyvr2009i . It is a lovely tune. But the man who wrote the lyrics was an Anglican and the composer who wrote the tune was a I believe a Lutheran, and I have frequently heard this in Baptist services so... I guess good songs that praise the Lord can cross theological divides.

  • I love this tune. I am glad that I am Roman Catholic. If I wasn't I probably would never have heard of this song.

  • Thank you for your beautiful rendition of the ORIGINAL 1864 hymn by Folliot Pierpoint (music by Conrad Kocher). It's not that the new version by John Rutter isn't good - but of all the wonderful old hymns, why re-write the music to this one? Again, thank you!

  • Happyy married life and God bless!

  • Nice, i like this song (too)!
