@mcgyvr2009i . It is a lovely tune. But the man who wrote the lyrics was an Anglican and the composer who wrote the tune was a I believe a Lutheran, and I have frequently heard this in Baptist services so... I guess good songs that praise the Lord can cross theological divides.

Thank you for your beautiful rendition of the ORIGINAL 1864 hymn by Folliot Pierpoint (music by Conrad Kocher). It's not that the new version by John Rutter isn't good - but of all the wonderful old hymns, why re-write the music to this one? Again, thank you!
